Fox analyst says NFL QB should have been executed

In case you somehow missed it, Fox News analyst (and former co-host of CNN’s Crossfire until skewered by Jon Stewart) Tucker Carlson recently said that NFL Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick ‘should have been executed’ for his dogfighting crimes.

Check out the clip on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEsY-wnc4yI&feature=related

Vick served a 23 month prison sentence ending 20 July 2009 for his role in financing and operating a dogfighting ring.  At the time, the National Football League suspended him without pay and sponsors revoked all their endorsement deals.

Regardless of what we may think about the barbarity of his crime, Vick served his time and was punished by the league.

Vick has been punished.  He did his sentence, has re-entered society and sport, and works with the Humane Society on their End Dogfighting campaign.

He should not be condemned to a death sentence.

Tucker Carlson’s imbecilic and inflammatory remarks serve to show that his – and by extension – Fox News’ standards on justice and journalism are equally ridiculous.

The less we hear from him, the better.

PS – Rectal Uncorks is an anagram for Tucker Carlson.
