Lynch has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge and been sentenced to 80 hours of community service and three years of probation.

** UPDATE: Lynch has now been charged with three gun related misdemeanours (possessing a concealed, loaded and unregistered firearm) but police have not pressed any drug charges in relation to the marijuana cigarettes also allegedly found in the car.

On a similar note, Marshawn Lynch (running back for the Buffalo Bills) has also been arrested on felony gun charges, this time in Culver City in California. Lynch was allegedly sitting in a parked car with two other men carrying a loaded firearm. Sports Network, who carried the story, are unclear though on the exact facts regarding whether Lynch has a licence to carry a firearm.

Scott Berchtold, Bills vice president of communications released a statement stating: ”We can confirm that Marshawn was arrested in California and has retained an attorney. We are in the process of trying to gather the facts and will not offer a comment while that process is ongoing.”
